Last week I decided to go in the pouring rain to Hobby Craft, to buy some knitting needles and wool. Having only looked at tutorials online or at simply terrifying diagrams via book, I felt quite brave about the whole situation and thought 'Sod it, I'll give it a go!'.

£10.98 shorter and filled with slight regret I left Hobby Craft and returned home. I'm not going to lie, I couldn't even cast on, the easiest thing to do in the world of knitting. I spoke to my mum and looked quite mournful (Probably) and she helped me cast on (if a little forgetfully) and away I went!

It has been a week, and the £7.99 100% burgundy wool I bought so lovingly looks a bit sad now. I have cast on and off, (and on and off again) about 5 times. I have attempted a Knit stitch and caught on quite quickly, to have it all unravel again. Since the unravelling, I have taken a break. I feel a bit like I am giving up, (Honestly I'm not!) and to be completely honest (again) I have forgotten the point of this post..

I think the point was that even though I am completely RUBBISH at knitting, I can see why people love to do it. It was so relaxing to just sit on my bed knitting. My fingers became used to the wool and needles and I actually really enjoyed it. I was going to post some pictures of my progress.. but it all unravelled so maybe next time. Until then enjoy a Googled image of the word 'Wool'
